Hi, everyone! How was your Easter weekend? I loved having 4 days off. It was very invigorating and I’m definitely ready to go back to work! It helps that the weather seems to be getting better and better, I admit. And my Easter weekend was full of food and family and chocolate. I guess just like it should be! You know I like to have short-term goals for each month to motivate me to do more of the things I love. And this is a monthly post, so if you’re interested in knowing what I’d like to accomplish this month, please keep reading!
1. Join the gym!
Are you excited to hear this one? I’ve been wanting to join a gym here since we’ve moved, however it hasn’t been easy because of my T1D. I finally discussed this with my doctor and we found some solutions to prevent me from having a very low, low at the gym or the following hours. I still need to check how this will all play out, but I’m excited! By the way, I have already achieved this goal because I joined last week! And I even went to the gym on Monday! Trying to digest all the food we had!
2. Read French classics!
This one is very different from my normal ones, but I picked up L’étranger by Camus and I thought “I’ve read many English and even German (and Portuguese, obviously) classics, so why not give the French ones a try?” And this is how I came up with this goal. So far, it’s not that difficult and I’m quite enjoying reading French literature. Maybe you’ll see some reviews here soon!
3. Go to the Book Fair!
I missed the Book Fair in Paris so I decided the second best thing would be the one being held in our city. This one is happening in 2 weeks and I intend on going on a Saturday or Sunday! It will be small and I’m pretty sure there won’t be any English authors there but I have never been and I want this to be one of my goals!
4. Walk around the Botanical Garden more often!
We just found this beautiful Botanical Garden nearby our house, so I definitely want to be going there more often. Especially when it’s warm outside and sunny, it must be amazing to go there and read a little or just lay down and enjoy the sun!
And these are it! I don’t tend to have many goals because I don’t want to feel overwhelmed and so far, I’ve accomplished them all! What about you? Do you have any specific goals for April? Any interesting ones? Let me know!
