Goodreads Challenge 2019: January

Hello, book friends! How’s your year going? What are your Goodreads stats as of now? This year, I’ve decided I want to read 50 books… yes, 50. Last year, I had planned on reading 24 and finished the year at 40 and a lot. So, I figured this year I could up the game and read 50. Because of my Kindle, I got to read a whole lot more last year because I don’t really pay for books now – I have Amazon Prime and I have a monthly membership to Kindle Unlimited, which allow me to read books for free. Occasionally, I buy one or two per month but I don’t spend a lot of money on them anyway.

In January, I had some time to read – well, I made the time for reading. I had a very busy month with classes back to back from Monday to Saturday and had to occupy my Sundays prepping, therefore I was stressed and overwhelmed. I decided I needed to have some time to relax and to not think about work. Mostly at night, before going to sleep, I read. Not every day, but most nights. And this month, I read a total of…

*8 books*

And the books were A Way Back Home, Block Shot, Filthy Beautiful Lies, Walden, Filthy Beautiful Love, Hate Notes, Nothing Personal and Birthday Girl! A lot of chick-flick/erotic ones this month. Oh well, what can I say, I do love them and they give me some escape!

What have you read this month? I know the month isn’t over yet, but I’ve decided to do this now so I might read one more before the month ends. But as of now, I’m at 8/50 for my 2019 Goodreads Challenge! Happy about that number!
