What I read… | October 2019

Hi! Another month gone, another “What I read”, this time, in October.

October was a strange month. I got into a little slump and couldn’t really pick up any book. I tried reading a couple but never finished them – I think I will at some point as I hate not finishing a book, but for now, I haven’t. They weren’t bad per se, but my head just wouldn’t shut up and I could never focus. In the end, I quit and decided to try reading shorter books that would get me wrapped up from the get-go.

In October, I read/finished 5 books. That might seem like quite a lot but I had a few days that were free and just cosied up with these books. I actually read them all (with exception of 1984) in the almost-last 4 days of October, which means that I didn’t read for over a month. Technically. I did read but never finished those books I mentioned earlier… My last book read in September was on the 18th and I only started “reading” again October 25th… But talk about a comeback!

I finally finished 1984 by George Orwell! That was a great read. I also read Kiss Me Tonight by Emma Hart, I Hate You by Ilsa Madden-Mills, The Roommate Agreement by Emma Hart and It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time by Kylie Scott.

They were all great and I really enjoyed them all. They got me out of my funk and I thank them for it 😁😁 My favourite amongst these was I Hate You – strong characters, slow but a page turner all the same. Great female character. All that I needed!

What did you read in October? Any special ones? Any favourites? Have you read my favourite book of the year??

Chat away!
