Easter Dos & Donts: A Guide (to having FUN)

Heya, guys! Welcome back! And welcome to a lovely guide on what to do and not do for Easter! Cos it’s Easter timmmmmmmmmmmmmme! *finally*

So, I thought it would be funny to create this list of Do’s and Dont’s, but don’t take this seriously, it’s really just for fun. You do whatever you wanna do if you celebrate Easter! πŸ‘Œ

Easter Egg Hunt!

I mean, is it really Easter if there’s not an Egg Hunt!? I think these are fun even for adults! It’s super easy to prepare too because you just need chocolate eggs. And hide them well πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

Easter Playlist if you’re hosting!

You can obviously put together your own playlist and make it personal. There are a few options online on YouTube or Spotify, though. If you want a playlist for kids, try this one. I mean, it’s just adorable and it’ll keep the little ones entertained for a while! If you’re throwing a little get together with family or friends, this is one I quite enjoy or this one!

Easter Table Art

Just check out Pinterest! When in doubt, that’s where I go! It’s easy and full of inspiration for your simple table art or luxurious one. Here’s some of my favourites:

DON’T buy a huge amount of cr*p

Well, this one is difficult for me. I love getting my decor on and I always end up going crazy at the store and buy way too much. (But is there even such a thing as too much!?) The things is, you don’t need to buy tons. Make it simple and you can always use things you already own. And this way, you’re eco-friendly too!

DON’T eat too much chocolate

But if you do… eat this one! Or this one from Lindt. I know it’s not very Easter-like, but I think they’re amazing and you’ll enjoy them for sure! And you won’t need to feel guilty afterwards.

What other things do you think are a must? I know that for me, decor is the most important thing! I just love when everything is pastel and pretty.

My sucky March reading challenge| Goodreads Challenge

Heya, everyone! Happy Monday! If you’re not having a good day, let this be a reminder that you’re beautiful and bright and tomorrow’s really close!

Because I haven’t posted much about my reading challenge lately, I decided it was time I gave you guys an update on how terrible it’s been for the last two months. Even now, as I write this, we’re mid-April and it’s still going terrible. I haven’t been reading at all and I feel like I hit a little reader’s block, where I can’t seem to finish one single book. I start them and even thoroughly enjoy most of them but just can’t seem to finish them.

So, as you’ve probably realised, it was a very sucky month because I didn’t truly read. I mean, I ended up reading 3 books, which I guess is alright, but I feel as if I read zero. Nada. I read all in the first week (one of them just the last chapters as I had started it long before March), but basically, throughout the month, I didn’t read at all. I feel so weird without my books and reading habits. My mind travels to places it shouldn’t and I feel more stressed and panicky. Obviously, if I would read more, this would probably go away but it’s a cycle and because I feel stressed, I can’t seem to sit still and just read.

These are the books I read πŸ“–πŸ“–πŸ“–

I obviously loved A Tale of Two Cities, even though I already knew the story. The other two were just meh. Not bad, but not great neither. I think maybe I just need really good books to get into it again. Who knows!? 🀷🀷🀷

And what did you read in March? What are you currently reading? Let me know down below in the comments! ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Zodiac Series: The Virgo ♍

Hi guys! This one was truly fun to research and write about! I love Virgos! Technically, I shouldn’t because we’re not that compatible, but I have to say I have tons of Virgo friends and I’ve had many relationships with Virgos too. So, I think that means something. Also, obviously, my beautiful L is a Virgo too, so here we are. I hope you enjoy this, even if just for a good laugh! I know I have!

Overall personality traits & quotes that are oh-so-you!

The Good & The Bad:

I think this Virgo outfit is totally what some of my Virgo friends would wear. Very classy-chic. But I also have in mind some other Virgo women I know and this is probably the opposite of what they would wear. Ever. So this goes to show, once more, that “horoscope outfits” aren’t probably a thing, even though I still love them.

Now, this one I approve. All the Virgo men I know would totally wear this. It’s casual yet chic and I think this really sums up what I see when I think about a Virgo man.

Lucky stone:

Cute little stones. The Carnelian one is cool and I believe it would be a favourite of some of my friends.

Make-up look:

Gorgeous! I love this look and I totally wanna be a Virgo right now! 😁

Nail polish:

Seems a tad bold for Virgos, but hey, at least, the shades range is very similar to the colours down below. This one is very bold and “alive” and the colour scheme is more towards pastel colours. Maybe Virgo have both sides?

And a small little description of Virgos:

Virgos are always paying attention to the smallest details and their deep sense of humanity makes them one of the most careful signs of the zodiac. Their methodical approach to life ensures that nothing is left to chance, and although they are often tender, their heart might be closed for the outer world. This is a sign often misunderstood, not because they lack the ability to express, but because they won’t accept their feelings as valid, true, or even relevant when opposed to reason. The symbolism behind the name speaks well of their nature, born with a feeling they are experiencing everything for the first time.

Virgo is an Earth sign, fitting perfectly between Taurus and Capricorn. This will lead to a strong character, but one that prefers conservative, well-organized things and a lot of practicality in their everyday life. These individuals have an organized life, and even when they let go to chaos, their goals and dreams still have strictly defined borders in their mind. Constantly worried that they missed a detail that will be impossible to fix, they can get stuck in details, becoming overly critical and concerned about matters that nobody else seems to care much about.

Since Mercury is the ruling planet of this sign, its representatives have a well-developed sense of speech and writing, as well as all other forms of communication. Many Virgos may choose to pursue a career as writers, journalists, and typists, but their need to serve others makes them feel good as caregivers, on a clear mission to help.

Now, what do you think about this? Do you know any Virgos? Let me know in the comments below!

Zodiac Series: The Capricorn β™‘

Hi, guys! Welcome back to another Zodiac post. This one is about Capricorns. I have quite a few Capricorn friends actually and a couple of family members too, one of them being my dad. Therefore, I find this post to be extremely interesting but also really fun to write. I hope I’ll do you all justice and that you love it as much as I do!

Without further ado, here we go!

Overall personality traits & quotes that are oh-so-Capricorns!

The Good & The Bad:

I really agree with these outfits for Capricorns! I totally see my best friend wearing this first one and all the options of the second one too. She’s very elegant and sophisticated but always brings a simple touch to her outfits. It’s all very simple-chic. “I didn’t try very hard but I look stunning” kind of vibes!

Omg, I actually really love this make-up look, Shan! I totally see some of my friends wearing this bold, berry-red-lip look! Do you love it? Do you think it’s you?

I love these colours for Capricorns – I really think they’d love all of these!

Zodiac Series: The Aquarius β™’

Hi, everyone! Welcome back to this Zodiac Series! If you haven’t already, check my first post of this series, the Sagittarius, here. I started off by writing about myself and today it’s Aquarius turn. And I know a few lovely Aquarius and one just happens to be my sister (slash best friend!) so let’s get into this!

Are you or do you know an Aquarius? This is for you:

I have to say that my take on Aquarius people is that they are generally very humane, independent and very disconnected from emotions. I’m not saying they don’t fall in love or they don’t love certain people, but it’s a sign that requires time and patience and it’ll take a long time until they admit their true feelings, even to themselves. I’m not only describing my sister here but also many other Aquarius I’ve met over the years. Some are also very funny. And the one thing I’ve seen common between them all is intelligence. They’re all about the brain – that’s why us Sagittarius get along so well with them! πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

Overall personality traits & quotes that are oh-so-my-sis (and others!):

The Good & The Bad:

I think these two photos really summarize the the good and the bad about Aquarians. On the one hand, you have the beautiful soul, generous, loyal, open-minded and perfect side of them. On the other hand, you get to see their more temperamental and aloof side, which is so part of them and some grow to love it. As always, don’t forget these are quite general and they might not describe you to the T. I see many of the beautiful qualities my sis has, but a few of the negatives I don’t think are her in any way.

Thank you to Psychic Source on Twitter for this brilliant good vs. bad traits of our fellow Aquarius.

This one was extremely difficult! I think that because it’s not at all easy to describe one’s look based on your personality. I really think it matches more your mood than your overall personality. There are likes and dislikes, sure, but just like in my own post, I couldn’t find a specific look that would match my preferences from a to z. So, here … me and my sis chose. I asked her for her opinion, obviously, but I also wanted to think about every Aquarian I know and think if they would wear these. For the most part, I’d say hell yeah. My sister doesn’t love everything (which is also normal) but she has at least, approved this!

Btw, go follow She The Spy on Instagram; I’ve used a ton of her templates on my stories and I’m obsessed with her and her photos!

Lucky stone:

Moss Agate – would you look at this beautiful green! I love it. My sis does too!

Make-up look:

Lovely video and make-up look by Shaaanxo.

Nail polish:

Strength is not a problem for Aquarius women, so bright shades are always a good choice for nails. Apparently these are the best nail colour shades for Aquarians. I’m gonna go ahead and say I have no clue if these are loved or not, but my sister would hate them. She does not paint her nails, so I had to go in blind here. What do you guys think? Do you love them?

These colours are very similar to the nail options, so I think that’s a good sign. I do quite love this colour palette and I know for a fact my lovely sister does too. What about you? I’m hoping to have some Aquarians reading this and to get your personal preferences down below!

So, in conclusion, here’s a little summary about you lovely Aquarians:

Aquarians present themselves in one of two ways. One on hand, you’ll see someone who is shy, and quiet. On the other, an Aquarian can be boisterous, eccentric, and energetic. Both are deep thinkers with a love of helping others. Highly intellectual, this is a sign of fierce independence that prizes intuition tempered with logic. Both personality types have an uncanny ability to see both sides of an argument without prejudice, making them excellent problem-solvers. While very much attuned to the energies around them, Aquarians have a deep need to take time out alone and away to rejuvenate themselves. The keyword for this sign is imagination. The Aquarian can see a world of possibilities even when there appears to be none.

What do you think? Do you know any Aquarians? Do you think this describes their personality well?

Zodiac Series: The Sagittarius πŸ’–

Hi! I got inspired to do this by Shaaanxo (check out her channel if you don’t know her, she’s lovely!) and because I’m all round obsessed with the Zodiac. I always feel like I must know what sign a person is to get a better picture of how they are. It’s not as extreme as it probably sounds, but I do enjoy a good horoscope chat. Obviously, I’m biased with this one because I am a Sag, but I’m only going to post things I truly identify with. It’ll be a mix of my own personal facts and thoughts and things/photos I found online that I believe describe me and other Sags to a t! For the other signs, I’ll be asking for help from my lovely friends and family to confirm the facts I gather on them. I’m not entirely sure that I have friends from all different signs, but I’ll give it a go anyway!

Ready to find out more about me…?

Overall personality traits & quotes that are oh-so-me!

I had to laugh at this first quote by Trixie Mattel because I’ve been saying this for years. I love being in a relationship and I can be extra romantic, but please, I need my alone time. Do not suffocate me or boy, bye!

And this describes it perfectly!

Now, I’m sure you’ll know a Sagittarius or two and maybe you’ll describe them as a ton of fun. The life of the party! Well, it is true, at to a point. This next quote is so real to me personally that I felt slightly better that maybe it’s just that I’m a Sag and not weird when I feel so up and down sometimes. I’m definitely the life of a party, when I’m in the mood! 😁tumblr_ox05vqEQ501r3vcx5o1_500tumblr_mm5awzHsIX1r3vcx5o1_500

The Good & The Bad:

Now, I wouldn’t say this is 100% representative of who I am and how I am, but it’s pretty darn close! I’m not so sure about being spontaneous, for example, because I do love perfect organisation and planning. I’ve been known to be spontaneous at times, but this is definitely not a word I’d use to describe myself. I’d say that the bad things are quite accurate, like “if in a bad mood, stay far away” or “gets offended easily and remembers the offence forever”, not great traits for sure, but I can relate! I’ll let you enjoy the rest:

Photo found on Brittany Stager’s website.

Ok, this was a difficult one. I didn’t quite find photos that would do me justice. I’m not in love with the first look but I get why it’s being used to describe a Sag. I definitely love the girly-girl looks sometimes and red is totally one of my favourite colours to wear. I also love the shoes and the make-up, simple but evident. And the overall look is casual but put together, which is something I always aim for. Now, if you scroll down to the second outfit option…

It made me laugh. I’m literally the one above or the one below. It’s either grungy and all black or flowery and cute with me. I’m actually quite in love with this look here. I would pass on the boots and backpack but everything else is dying to be in my closet! I guess that I needed to choose these two photos because let’s face it, us Sags are either a 0 or 100 when it comes to dressing up.

Lucky stone:

So, apparently, we have two. Yellow sapphire and Turquoise. The first one, I kind of hate. The Turquoise, I love! I don’t love the yellow, because I find it tacky, but I understand that this is supposed to bring you good luck. Maybe I should get them both and make a cute little necklace or ring?

Make-up look:

I just had to choose this video from Shaaanxo because she’s the whole inspiration for this series here. I wouldn’t normally go for something this bold, but I love this teal-blue colour she’s used as eyeshadow. I love the lips and the glitter in the crease. Overall, I think it’s a beautiful make-up look that I wouldn’t personally wear but I’m sure many Sagittarius would love.

Nail polish:

This one was easy. I actually love these colours and have used them 4 in the past. I love purple and deep purple is one of my favourite colours when it comes to things I wear. The glittery black at the end is also perfection! I love black and had a teenager phase where I only wore black nail polish – but who hasn’t, right!? Photo from here.

Not much to say about this one. I feel that I love these colours and they bring me a sense of peace, but if I had to choose them myself, I wouldn’t probably end up with this colour scheme. I do have to say though that when looking at the other signs’ colour palettes, I love this one the most. So, maybe this one is also accurate? Photo from here (see also the other palettes!)

So, in conclusion, here’s a little summary about us Sagittarians from this website:

“Sagittarius is the ninth sign of the zodiac system and is a fire sign ruled by the religious and pure planet, Jupiter. Persons with this zodiac sign tend to be more enthusiastic, pure in motive, desirous and ambitious of great goals and achievements. Generally, they are straightforward people, outspoken and frank in nature. They are gifted with the talent of writing, speaking skill and powerful in projecting themselves. Sagittarians usually argue with their kinsmen, but otherwise generous, faithful and artistic. Short temper is one of their downsides, but they are quick to forgive and forget. A zodiac sign that personifies strength, enthusiasm and nobility.”

What do you think about this new series? I have to confess I’m loving it so far! Come back next week for Aquarius!
